Calm Before the Storm

Last day in the office before I head out to Washington tomorrow. Quick and easy is what I was thinking as I headed toward the closet this morning. There is so much to do and so little time. Next up packing, ugh, how I dread it as I always overpack and still never have the right thing. Have a good one all!

Random Musings- Chirstmas In Washington

Spending the holidays in Vancouver, Washington with my hubby's side of the family and there are a few things that I am looking forward too.


1. New Pajamas for Christmas morning; a family tradition to exhange PJ's on Christmas Eve. (I added these cute little slippers as a little extra something, so cute!)

2. A game of croquet in the dead of winter.(yes, I know what you are thinking we are crazy and freezing but all in good silly fun.)

3. Catching a late movie Christmas night (Hoping to see Sherlock Holmes).

A little overdressed for the office today, but I am feeling festive. Let the countdown to Christmas begin! Can you tell that I am just a tad bit excited.

Loving this nail color by Deborah Lippman "Bitches Brew" for the month of December.  The deep, dark burgundy red is utterly decadent and of course the name made me giggle.

Dressing Down

After a few days of dressing up and out late with the girls last night called for a casual approach to today's attire.  With a little rain gave me a perfect execuse to pull out this trench that I had forgotten all about.

I love this time of year, I get to get gussied up for fancy lunches and holiday dinners with girlfriends. Found this cream and black tuxedo jacket and I thought it would be perfect for tonight and yet work friendly without being to over the top.

Perfect timing Everybody Everywhere, today is my holiday luncheon at work and nothing speaks fancy lunch during the holiday than sequins. Also, gotta love working a half day!

Fuzzy Was Me

Thanks to the fabulous Rachel Zoe, the faux fur vest has exploded the fashion scene and every fashionable girl who is on trend seems to have a few in their closets, I had yet to find one that suited me. Must admit all the one's I had tried on made me feel like a big bear (roar). Found this lighter version of faux fur and it gave me just the extra layer of warmth that I needed this morning.

Feeling good today after a productive weekend!  It was Christmas central at my house.  Gifts have been purchased and wrapped and ready to be ship.  I LOVE being ahead of the game (I think it is an all time first).  Now, all I need to do now is attend fun holiday parties and pack for Vancouver, WA (12 days and counting).

PD 4 GNO

A little polka dot blouse for Girl's Night Out tonight seemed like a perfect pairing.  The pattern always makes me smile and ready for fun.  I added this sleeveless trench for an extra layer as the weather has gone from foggy and dreary to windy and down right COLD (well it is December 1st). Looking forward to Willow Glen's Girls Night Out on the Avenue tonight. I will be heading straight to the champagne and cupcakes, sounds like a perfect dinner to me.
