Friday Fancies- Football Frenzy

Today on Long Distance Loving we are talking football. As a bay area native, I was born a San Francisco 49ner fan. I look forward to going to Candlestick park every year wearing my teams colors and a lot of layers.. it can be cold.  For the games that are away, its all about wearing my jammies and parking it on the couch with the hubby.  Good times!

Time

It's time to say goodbye to tanned legs and say hello to my trusty tights. The fall air has arrived in San Jose.

Mani Color of the Month- Over The Top

Excited for the time of year for which I can paint my nails deep rich colors. Time to put away the pinks and brights of the summer and go for something a little more dramatic. I am currently loving Essie's "Over the Top".  How cool is this shimmery charcoal color? Pure Perfection.

Some days I draw inspiration from the many J. Crew catalog's that I have laying around the house, other days I just plain copy it. I had loved this skirt from the moment I laid eyes on it, stripes and sequins, what's not to love.

Long and Short

After a busy weekend of entertaining the in-laws (visiting from Vancouver, Washington), I really needed a no fuss outfit this morning. It had been a while since I had worn this skirt (last seen here) (don't you just love finding things in your closet that you have not seen in a while) and tried to toughen it up with a short sleeved leather tee.

Thunder

Nothing like waking up to the loudest boom of thunder this morning, I think I jumped 50 feet (a sight to be seen for sure).  With the downpour of rain it certainly made me feel like staying indoors with my jammies on.  Being that I have to go to the office (boo) a small compromise of baggy boyfriend jeans a sweatshirt will just have to do.

Transition

Is it me or does anyone else have trouble with the transition from summer to fall.  My head says, look at the calendar its September and you should wear all your new fall pieces, but the weather says..... hey, I am still 83 degrees out and make your summer clothes last a bit longer. 

With that said, I pulled on a easy striped tunic dress today as there were too many voices in my head this morning (tee hee).
