Jeffrey Says Welcome Home

Nothing better than coming home after a long day after a holiday weekend to a little package waiting for me. It's like Jeffrey Campbell said to me, welcome home honey, how was your day? Just a little something to bring a smile to my face after a hard day at the office and on top of that having a horrible cold. (Yes, if you must know, my 3 day weekend was spent in bed, yuk!)



The beasties love to get packages as much as I do.

I am dreaming about all the vacations I have planned for this summer (Cabo) and early fall (6 week sabbatical coming up...woo hoo!) and I decided it was time for a new pair of sunglasses. Found these lovely House of Harlow "Cady's" that were screaming my name.

Mixed Messages

My outfit is giving me mixed messages. My top is yelling stripes and my skirt is screaming paisley. Can't we all just get along? I love that in today's world we can embrace wearing different patterns together, don't you? Gone are the days when everything has to be so coordinated.

What I Want Wednesday- Little Denim Dress

On my shopping list for the summer is the little denim dress.  It is a no-fuss, flirty little get up and go number.  Paired with flats or heels it can be effortlessly styled, whether you go with a no-frills shift or one with boho embroidery. These little numbers will look great for the beaches of Cabo, for which I will be going in July! Rock The Dots

A little sunshine has made an appearance today and thank goodness as the clouds and rain were making this girl a bit gloomy (cranky as some would say).  Digging in the closet this morning debating on what to wear (every girl's story) and found my Tucker for Target polka dot top that had forgotten all about in the way back of the closet (note to self, CLEAN your closet!).  I just love polka dots, don't you?

One of Those Days

Ever have one of those days were you are just not feeling it?  Waking up to rainy and cold weather (is this May or January?) and the hubby leaving for a job out of town for the week, I just wasn't feeling photogenic, but the beasties were.  Hope everyone had a great weekend.

I have never been much of a fan of camoflauge printed items for the ladies (I can not pull off rocker/camo chic like Gwen Stefani), but this skirt that I bought on eBay seemed like a nice way to make camo feminine, it must be all the ruffles.  Can't you just see Private Benjamin wearing this in the trenches?

Cherry Mix

Did a little experimenting this morning by mixing a cherry print dress with a pin stripe jacket. Mixing patterns has been a strong trend of late and I have been watching a few of you fabulous bloggers rock this look. I am slowly stepping out of my comfort zone and having a little bit of fun not being so matchy matchy. Baby steps friends, baby steps.
