Madras for Summer

I have slowly taken to the fun pattern of madras, a summertime favorite. Must admit that I did not think I could pull off the light weight plaid design.  I purchased a lovely pair of shorts to wear this summer for all my planned vacations and I am really starting to be on board with the popular design.  I think my Madre would approve. Do you wear madras pieces in the summer?
