FBFF- Shoes

I am participating in Modly Chic's Friend Friday.  Today's Topic.... SHOES (my favorite thing next to mac and cheese).

My love of shoes came from my grandmother and mom as they had the most beautiful heels in their closets that I loved to play dress up in (just picture a little girl in lucite and rhinestone heels walking down the street to play with friends).  Then in a past life I was a manager/shoe buyer for a small boutique.  Going to Las Vegas twice a year for the shoe shows were highlights.  Rows and rows of shoes and the designers that made them... Oh so DREAMY!  Now, I am just a poor addicted sole soul that could purchase a new pair everyday if my wallet could spare it.

1.What is your go-to pair of shoes?
That is tough, I love all my children shoes equally.  Well, for lounging at night and weekends, I live in my Reef flip-flops.  For the office I tend to wear heels.  Lately I have been wearing my Simply Vera Wang nude pumps A LOT.  Today I am going casual and wearing my Sam Edleman gladiator sandals (ahh, gotta love a casual Friday).

2. What goes into your shoe buying decisions?
Do they fit well and how many outfits can I pair them with is what I try to think of when shopping for shoes.  Well at least that is what I rationally try to tell myself anyway.  Generally my heart takes over and I just go for it based on love and lust.

3. The majority of the shoes in your closet are what color?
Mostly black I have to admit, I am trying to branch out and go with other colors.  I have added yellow and green and loving them.

4. When it comes to designer shoes what are your favorite brands and why?
I LOVE so many designers, but my go to's are Jeffrey Campbell, Steve Madden, Sam Edleman, Simply Vera Wang and Michael Kors. Why you ask?  Well, I really enjoy wearing platforms and each of these lines come out with some great designs.

5. If price wasn’t an issue, you’d own which shoe?
I would have to say Miu Miu and Christian Louboutin. LOVE LOVE LOVE their designs, just too poor to own any.

Last pair of shoes I purchased

I am heading to Paso Robles tomorrow with the hubby to visit to our dear friend's winery for a Kentucky Derby party.  I've got my hat ready to go and can't wait for the fun!

Happy Friday!!
