Sabbatical Chronicles- Day 6 -Golden Tresses

There is nothing like the fresh feeling you get after visting the salon for a cut and color.  I always feel like a million bucks.  After getting all gussied up (my hair that is, I went low key today with a tank and cargo pants) my hairdresser and I went to visit the new organic restaurant in Willow Glen called Hay Market, oh so yummy.  When I got  home my new necklace was waiting for me, ahh the simple pleasures. A perfect day.

Sabbatical Chronicles- Day 5- Feels Like a Saturday

Fresh mani/pedi + thinking it is a Saturday = Life is good

Sabbatical Chronicles- Day 4- Sweet Conflicts

 To check the Blackberry or not check the Blackerry, that is the question.  I know the idea of sabbatical is to turn it all off, but how does one do it when work is part of one's daily life. Just a sweet little conflict that I am going through today (don't mind me).  I think by week 2 I will have this thing all figured out.  Another sweet conflict today, mixing patterns.  Still love the idea of it as I have seen so many good mixes out there, so I attempted once again to mix a little floral with stripes.  To see past attempts, see here, here and here.

Today my day consisted of a few things:

1. Workout a 7:00am.  ( I slept an extra 15 minutes, woo hoo!)  
2. A lovely walk through one of my favorite towns- Los Gatos
3. Picked up a pair of black cigarette pants (the "Minnie") at J. Crew
4. Organized a bit in the closet with those fabulous huggable hangers
5. A quick trip tp Trader Joe's with my mom (I managed to buy all sweets, naughty girl).

Sabbatical Chronicles- Day 1

Today my day consisted of just a few things:
1. Sleep until 10am
2. Read a magazine
3. Run to Sephora for mascara
4. Early dinner with the parentals and hubby. 

I think I will call day one a success.  Hey....at least I got dressed and took a shower.

Another Day to Dress Up

Love this light ethereal tank that I spotted at Urban Ourfillters a few weeks back.  The delicate flowers, airy silk paired with my pleated midi skirt makes me feel like I can float right on through the day.  I almost feel  a bit angelic (yeah right, I am naughty to the core as my hubby would say).

S is for Sabbatical

Starting in 4 days I will be on a 6 week sabbatical from work (how crazy exciting is that!) 47 uninterrupted days of non-stop fun.  Oh and honey, chores are really not part of my plan. (just sayin).

Today I thought it would be fitting to start my last week of work wearing boyfriend jeans for a more laid back feel. I have to ease into laziness right?

Now, if I can only get focused on the work I have to do until then.

Things I Love- Huggable Hangers

Can someone really LOVE a hanger? As I was randomly walking through the Container Store with a friend I ran into these Huggable Hangers. Thought to myself, these are slim and would help conserve precious space in my closet.  The added non-slip velvety finish  prevents clothing from slipping off the hanger.  They have worked wonders for my tiny space. My closet is going to be so organized and I will have MORE space for new addtions.  Now, how can I get the thousand hanger unit bulk rate?  

Playing in the Beauty Aisle

Playing in the beauty aisle once again and picked up some great colors for Fall. Can't wait to get a mani to show off that fabulous green shade. What is it about wandering the aisle for hours playing with colors that makes this girl all giddy?
